Eclipse CSDT Fails to Sync With Sites 12c (Doc ID 2402596.1)

Symptoms

On :  12.2.1.3.0 version, WebCenter Sites

Eclipse CSDT plugin fails to sync with Sites 12c, with following error:

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. After installation of CSDT plugin with Eclipse, and configuring instance, click on sync button in Eclipse
2. In the Eclipse UI > Error Log tab, see "Unhandled event loop execution"
3. The event details of this error, is the above stacktrace

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot sync Eclipse with Sites
