How To Control The Parameters That Control File Path And File Name In The HDFS Handler. (Doc ID 2404219.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 07, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate Application Adapters - Version 12.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After the upgrade following issue was observed:
As per the upgrade following parameters were removed :
gg.handler.hdfs.rootFilePath=/ogg1
gg.handler.hdfs.fileSuffix=.avro

And below parameters were added
gg.handler.name.pathMappingTemplate=/ogg1/${fullyQualifiedTableName}_${groupName}_${currentTimestamp}.avro

But that parameter is not being honored , the files are written with .txt format and with upper case. In earlier version the file was written in lowercase.

Previous format :
/ogg1/tlc_gg.txaudit/tlc_gg.txaudit_2018-05-03_13-07-24.422.avro

Now it is getting produced like below :
/ogg/tlc_gg.txaudit/TLC_GG.TXAUDIT_RALLHDFS_2018-05-04_08-52-26.424.txt

Q : 1) why not ogg1 and why not .avro as the extension.
