Extract Truncating The Column Data When Used With Coltest

(Doc ID 2404502.1)

Last updated on MAY 30, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.1.2.1.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While running extract with below mapping, due to @IF condition on CUST_NO it is
truncating the column data to 8 digits in the trail file. The column is
defined as NUMBER(10) in the database.

extract e1
USERID source password source
reportcount every 15 minutes, rate
exttrail ./dirdat/e1
TARGETDEFS ./dirdef/table.def
TABLE ggtest.POLICY_ENTITY, TARGET ggtest.POLICY_ENTITY KEYCOLS(POLICY_NO)
COLMAP(USEDEFAULTS, PREV_INSURER_POLICY = @STRSUB(PREV_INSURER_POLICY,
'\x0d','','\x0a','','|',''), PREV_INSURER_TEL = @STRSUB(PREV_INSURER_TEL,
'\x0d','','\x0a','','|',''),CUST_NO = @IF (@COLTEST (CUST_NO, INVALID,
MISSING, NULL), 12, CUST_NO));

Issue only reproduces when using the CUST_NO in the colmap clause with the
IF condition. The colmap clause looks fine taken from the documentation link
