'file is corrupt [9]' error when converting MS Office documents (Doc ID 2406905.1)

Symptoms


You have a MS Office files that are failing with an error indicating the file is corrupt.  However, MS Office can open and view the file. 

Why does Outside In report the corrupted file error message, or how can I verify this is correct behavior?


- Open Word document in MS Office. You can see below message.

        "PROTECTED VIEW Office has detected a problem with this file. Editing it may harm your computer Click for more details."

- So add file location to word trusted location.

              File->Options->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings->Trusted Locations : Click on 'Add new location' button and browse path of downloaded file.

- Now opening word document in MS Office doesn't show any warning message.

- Convert word document to XML using oitsample application. Below error is seen.
