Unable to change name of network users

ESSO retaining network ID names after a user has had a name change due to marriage, divorce, or other issues. Once change the member name in Active directory ESSO begins to error out due to

the ESSO cache keeping the previous CN entry for the ESSO object. It is need it change name in our system without completely removing and recreating a user account.
