Symptoms

On Infiniband Switches with Firmware versions 2.2.7 or older, Issue of SubnetManager status of newly replaced standby IB Switch showing as "DISCOVER" state instead of "STANDBY" state is noticed.

The issue can be confirmed by running "getmaster" command. Below is output of "getmaster" command as an example. As seen from below output, el01gw01 is the SM Master. SM status of el01gw02 should be STANBY. But instead the status is shown as DISCOVER.

Changes

Old Switch replaced with New Switch (pre-installed with FW version 2.2.9) and then downgraded to 2.2.7 and earlier versions in an attempt to match the other older FW switches, as part of Switch replacement process.
