Symptoms

running dos2unix on AXF_CUSTOM.pld in the Solaris OS failed with these errors:

oracle@machine > dos2unix AXF_CUSTOM.pld
could not open /dev/kbd to get keyboard type US keyboard assumed
could not get keyboard type US keyboard assumed
