SAP Success Factor Connector Fails To Connect with NullPointerException and LGN0007 (SAP Error Code) (Doc ID 2411299.1)

Symptoms

Using  12.2.1.3.0 SAP SuccessFactors Connector, when one attempts to create an Authoritative Application for SAP SuccessFactors Connector the below errors occurs.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
         1.- Login to Identity Self Service
         2.- Go to the Manage tab and click the Applications box to open the Applications page
         3.- From the Actions menu, click Create, and then select Authoritative
         4.- Fill out the details and click on test connection. It fails with the error above.
