ODI Numeric Load Plan Variable Does Not Accept a Value Larger Than 10 Digits but Session Variable Does (Doc ID 2411772.1)

Symptoms

NOTE: In the images below, any details including load plan and variable name represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo instance). Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

When executing an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) load plan, a numeric load plan variable will not accept more than 10 digits as a Startup Value.  See the below screenshot for an example:
 

 

 

In contrast to the above screen shot, the numeric session variable is allowing more than 10 digits for the variable value.  See the below screenshot for an example:
