ODC 10g Is Exporting Large PDFs (100+ Page) To TIF And The File Size Is Increasing (Doc ID 2414641.1)

Oracle WebCenter Capture 10g - Version 10.1.3.5.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Document Capture (ODC) 10g is exporting large (100+ page) PDFs to TIF and expanding the file size.  PDFs containing many pages are converted to TIF by ODC, and the resulting TIF is too large for WebCenter Forms Recognition (WFR) to handle. The exported TIF is usually over 150MB.

Using these same invoices in a Capture 11g environment results in the TIFs exporting with a file size of 5MB. The TIF appears to be compressed in 11g. This 11g system is using ghostscript to convert from PDF to TIF. The 10g ODC system is using OIT. Is there a way to change the conversion process to use ghostscript with ODC 10g?
