This Note provides detailed information on how to start guest vServer in single user mode in Exalogic.
There may be scenarios/use cases where it is needed to start the Guest vServer in single user mode for troubleshooting/debugging purposes. Examples include file system corruption for which fsck needs to be ran in single user mode, when the password for root user has to be recovered (in the case of the root password being forgotten), logical volume, file system or partition related issues.
