Symptoms

After configuring a WebLogic application to be protected by the OAM Identity Asserter authentication to the protected resource works fine. However, after checking the identity assertion box from in the authorization policy response box causes the following error to be generated for every access of the protected application:

In the OAM console the authorization policy for the protected resource has had the "identity assertion" checkbox enabled as shown below:
