How To Turn Off ECID (Execution Context ID) as Part of ODI HTTP Requests from WebLogic (Doc ID 2420209.1)

Last updated on APRIL 28, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.1.3.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When a HTTP POST request is made from the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c J2EE Agent, the hosting WebLogic writes an Execution Context ID (ECID) in the HTTP header.

In some cases, the remote web service will return a HTTP "Bad Request" error when this header value is larger than a certain number of bytes. For example, 7000 bytes.

How can the ECID value be turned off?
