Sync Consumer unable to consume message from JMS UDD

We have implemented solution in which we have 2 BPEL services in which one BPEL service is supposed to consume messages of a UDD (Uniform Distributed Destination) and the other BPEL is supposed to consume messages from the same UDD in a "Synchronous Consume" manner. This solution works fine on a non-clustered environment where we have used standard JMS queues. However in a clustered environment where we have used UDD instead of standard JMS queue, the regular consume adapter works fine but the "Synchronous Consume" adapter is not working. We donot get any error as such, just that it fetches "null" from the UDD and the message stays stuck in the UDD instance (see screenshot attached to this SR). Can you please advise the possible reason for the "regular Consume" from UDD to work fine but "Synchronous Consume" from a UDD to not work?
