Why Are Users Unable To Print Multiple Documents From Search Results When Using A Load Balancer After Applying WebCenter Content: Imaging 11.1.1.9 Patch 13? (Doc ID 2424040.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After applying WebCenter Content: Imaging 11.1.1.9 Cumulative Patch 13 and IPMRepository Patch 2, users are unable to print multiple documents from search results when using a load balancer.

A virtual IP (host.host.host.state.us) is defined on the load balancer. The virtual IP is configured to redirect requests to https://host.host.host.state.us/imaging and http://host.host.host.state.us to port 16000 on the Imaging application server (server.host.host.state.us). SSL is off-loaded at the load balancer.

When logging in to the Imaging client using https://host.host.host.state.us/imaging, the java web launcher displays:

java.lang.securityexception: illegal URL redirect

When logging in to the Imaging client without the load balancer in place, the error does not occur.  JDK 1.7.0_80 is being used.

How can this be resolved?
