Attempt to Launch WebCenter Content (WCC) Admin Applet Resuls in Policy Permission Error (Doc ID 2425291.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.1.9.0 version, Content Server

Following upgrade from 11.1.1.8 to 11.1.1.9 (Linux platform) attempt to launch admin appets via browser fails with error,

Works as expected with JAVA 1.8.   Oracle EBS 12.1.3 requires JAVA 1.7.80, therefore, JAVA 1.8 is not an option.


ERROR

" Application Blocked by Security Settings "

" Your security settings have blocked an application from running with an out-of-date or expired version of Java "

java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.util.PropertyPermission" "user.timezone"."write")
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.util.PropertyPermission" "oracle.fusion.appsMode"."read")


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to WCC
  2. Navigate to Administration --> Admin Applets

Changes

 Upgrade to WCC 11.1.1.9
