Oracle GoldenGate 12.3 DB2 ZOS Remote Extract Did Not Deallocate ECSA When Abended (Doc ID 2425453.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.3.0.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

GoldenGate stored procedure in DB2 for z/OS is not clearing/deallocating ECSA.

From DB2 DBA observations:
It’s clear that IB11CCJ was allocated ECSA more than the deallocation from the log. From the timing, the deallocation does not appear to be a real deallocation, it looks like a test whether ECSA is available or not. The ‘J’ suffix may be related to Java, if it is, I am not surprised.
