Duplicate Group / Entitlement Names In Catalog (Doc ID 2426875.1)

Symptoms

When requesting LDAP groups (i.e. entitlements) you see duplicate names in the Catalog.

Below is an example of the configuration where you would see duplicate LDAP group / entitlement names:

1) Assume you have the following ldap groups:

dn: cn=group1,ou=OrgA,dc=<dc2>,dc=<dc1>
description: group1 of OrgA
cn: group1
objectClass: groupOfUniqueNames
objectClass: top

dn: cn=group1,ou=OrgB,dc=<dc2>,dc=<dc1>
description: group1 of OrgB
cn: group1
objectClass: groupOfUniqueNames
objectClass: top

NOTE: value of "cn" attribute the same on both entries but in different organizational units.

2) Run "LDAP Connector Group Lookup Reconciliation" job and set the "Decode Attribute" parameter to "cn"

3) Goto Catalog -> search for entitlements with "group1" and OIM displays the "duplicates" as below:
