Performance Issue When Running PL/SQL (MOD_PLSQL) Application Using ORDS (Doc ID 2427479.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle REST Data Services - Version 3.0.9 and later
Oracle HTTP Server - Version 10.1.2.0.0 to 12.1.3.0.0 [Release AS10gR2 to 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running a PL/SQL procedure from ORDS, the request is taking much longer than the same application from OHS (with mod_plsql).

The issue occurs when ORDS is ran in standalone or if its deployed to a web server (WLS, Tomcat).

The application runs in the expected amount of time when the URL is ran using OHS with mod_plsql.

Changes

 Moving from MOD_PLSQL to ORDS.
