Javascript Function Configured in ClientListener Does Not Fire (Doc ID 2428672.1)

Last updated on MARCH 16, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

For inputListOfValues field, the autosubmit is set to true and clientListener method is set to call Javacript function. Users input value(lowercase) in LOV and hit the Enter key, the Javascript will capture this Enter key, do input uppercase conversion, and converted values submit.

The expected result is that user input is converted to uppercasem, the uppercase values showed on client-side and submitted.

However the test has show no successful results: in fact, user input is not converted to uppercase. User input remains as lowercase, showed and submitted. It seems the Javascript function does not fire at all.

Why is this happening?
