OGG Classic Extract missing columns data in trail file for UPDATE statement (Doc ID 2430869.1)

Last updated on JUNE 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.1.2.0.0 to 12.3 Beta [Release 12.1 to 12.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Classic GoldenGate replication between Oracle 11.2.0.4 database and Oracle 12.1.0.7 database. An UPDATE is applied to a row in the source database;
however the trail file does not contain all of the columns that were updated. Running log miner on the source database archive log shows that the sql_redo
contains all of the columns that were updated.

The update is to table schema.table_name and the column that is missing from the trail file is column_name. It should be set from "SUCCESS" to "NULL".
Logminer shows this correctly but the after image in logdump does not contain
this column (Column 46).

The version of GoldenGate is 12.2.0.1.170221
