"ConnectorException: ERROR (44889): ; The Manager Information entered is not valid." Updating Manager Information Using BMC Remedy User Management Connector

Symptoms
User in OIM is successfully provisioned to BMC Remedy using the OIM BMC Remedy User Management connector. But when the manager id and manager name are updated in the provisioned BMC account from OIM, it fails with the following error:

Steps to reproduce:
1) Install and configure the OIM BMC Remedy User Management Connector
2) Provision a user in OIM to BMC Remedy.
3) After the account is provisioned, update the account's manager name and id.
