WCS - Embedded Asset Vanity URL Link not Displaying Within Preview Mode

Symptoms
Customer was having an issue with a vanity URL not being displayed correctly when previewing a page.
The steps performed in the contributor interface are:
1. Open a page and edit in the CKEditor.
2. Highlight text and select "Add asset Link".
3. Drag and drop page from the SiteTree and select a template.
4. Hit OK and Save
5. Go to the page and hover over the link and observer the long URL, not the vanity URL.
