OUD 11g / 12c - Paged Queries Through Proxy May Return Infinite Number of Paged Results (Doc ID 2435318.1)

Symptoms

An OUD proxy instance has been configured to use the proportional load balancing algorithm to forward LDAP requests across two or more backend LDAP data sources.

Paged result search queries are subsequently issued against the OUD proxy. For example, the Simple Paged Results Control can be used with the ldapsearch command to perform such a paged query.

18.5.3.15 Searching Using the Simple Paged Results Control

The following paged search directed towards the OUD proxy (using the proportional load balancing algorithm) will continuously return results in pages of 250 entries each without end.

$OUD_INSTANCE/OUD/bin/ldapsearch -p <port> -D "cn=<DS_ADMIN>" -w <password> -b "dc=<SUFFIX_DN>" --simplePageSize 250 --countEntries "(|(uid=<a*>)(uid=<b*>))" dn
