FAQ: How To Remove Ghost And Orphan vServers Which Are Shown In EMOC/OVMM After Restoring The Exalogic Control Stack (Doc ID 2437827.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

Goal

When you restore the Exalogic Control stack from a backup, it reverts to the point in time when that backup was created.

vServers that were created after that backup will not be displayed in Exalogic Control (orphan vServers). vServers that were deleted after that backup will be displayed in Exalogic Control, but they do not exist (ghost vServers).

This MOS Note provides information on how to remove the ghost and orphan vServers which are shown in EMOC/OVMM after restoring the Control stack from backup.
