Goal

Is it a good idea to delete cache folders in the temp directory on every restart?

As per our cache config files, cs, ss, cas, the linked cache folder is getting stored in the temp directory. Is it a good practice to delete the cache folder in the below sequence?

1. Shutdown the WebCenter Sites app server.
2. Delete cscache, sscache, linkedcache, cascache folder in temp.
3. Start the WebCenter Sites app server.

Even after this exercise was done the cache folder was getting recreated when starting the server.
