Migration from ODI 11g to ODI 12.2.1.3.0 - Outer Joins Change the Mappings Code (Doc ID 2443563.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.3.0 to 12.2.1.3.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g, the positions of some Filters on Integration Interfaces that contain the Outer Join symbol (+) hard coded in the Join conditions, are before the Join.

It has been observed that after upgrading to ODI 12.2.1.3.0, the position of Outer Join symbol (+) are after the Joins, and therefore the code the Mapping executes, and the execution result differs between ODI 11g and 12c.

Same behavior also affects Mappings that use Joins for the Outer Join instead of a Filter.
