How To Remove Provisioning Profiles From DIP (including those used for OID - EBS Integration) (Doc ID 2453499.1)

Goal

Looking for general Documentation, on "how to remove Provisioning Profiles" from an OID/DIP
installation, which are no longer required.

For example, this could be due to following situation:

==================================================================
 - EBS instances have been decommissioned which were registered with OID.
 - Now seeing following errors in the OID log:

<oracle.dip.<APPS_INSTANCE_NAME>_I>
<oracle.dip.<APPS_INSTANCE_NAME>_E>
<oracle.dip.<APPS_INSTANCE_NAME>_I> java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
  at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.logon(T4CConnection.java:489)
  at oracle.jdbc.driver.PhysicalConnection.(PhysicalConnection.java:678)
