Last updated on SEPTEMBER 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.3.0 to 12.2.1.3.0 [Release 12c]
Oracle Data Integrator Cloud Service - Version 17.1.3 to 17.2.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

NOTE: In the examples below, variable names or any other details represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in an Oracle demo instance). Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

An Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) mapping uses a datastore with the following strings in the "Resource Name" field, for example:

Resource Name=file_#GLOBAL.V_FILE_NAME.#GLOBAL.V_FILE_NAME1
Resource Name=file_#GLOBAL.V_FILE_NAME.#GLOBAL.V_FILE_NAME1.txt

When trying to generate a scenario from this mapping, the variables do not appear in the "Scenario Variables" window.

The issue occurs regardless of the variables being local or global.
