Downstream Rest Call Issue Where Request Is Getting Rejected By Tomcat Due To Unaccepted Chars (Doc ID 2460361.1)

Symptoms

A REST producer is deployed on tomcat and a webservices application deployed on WebLogic consumes it. In WLS 12..1.1, the request is processed successfully.
In 12.1.3, in the request, some additional oracle headers in the request . As a result, during Downstream rest call request is getting rejected by the Tomcat webserver because of



This is the difference that was found during their validation and think this is causing the invalid request.
There was no change done to the application so they suspect that the WLS 12.1.3 upgrade is causing these issues.
