Elasticsearch Index Alias Creation Failed (Doc ID 2461054.1)

Symptoms

Configuring the connection between WebCenter Portal and Elasticsearch and it fails with the following error:

javax.management.RuntimeMBeanException: java.net.URISyntaxException: Illegal character in authority at index 7: http://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>}/_cat/aliases/wcp_index
Elasticsearch index alias creation failed.
Document Extractor Pipeline in Elasticsearch failed. Check the diagnostic log for more details.


Below is the command being executed: 

createSearchConnection (appName='webcenter',name='dev-es', url='http://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>)', indexAliasName='webcenter_portal', appUser='mycrawladmin', appPassword='<PASSWORD>')
