Symptoms
DRCP, introduced in 11g, is a connection pool in the Database Server which application developers, administrators and DBAs can use to achieve scalability by sharing connections among multi-process and multi-threaded applications that can span across mid-tier systems. However, trying to connect from Forms when DRCP is enabled results in failure, both from the Builder and at runtime. When attempting to connect from the Builder the result is a blank dialog window and the connection fails. When attempting to connect from runtime the result is an FRM-40007 and an ORA-24309 error.
