When a SQL query (in APEX component or within page designer) selects a plain XMLTYPE column (without converting to CLOB or VARCHAR2), this query fails with the following error message:

ORA-00904: "SYS"."ANYDATA"."CONVERTXMLTYPE": invalid identifier
