OID to AD synchronization / AD to OID synchronization profiles setup on OID help in syncing samaccountname, userprincipal name attributes from OID to AD and AD to OID.

UserPrincipal name originates from AD.

Samaccountname originates from OID HR Agent

What is the impact on OID to AD synchronization when UPN is modified in AD?

Is it necessary to align AD attribute samaccountname with userPrincipalName? Meaning, should samaccountname attribute match with userprincialname attribute in OID and in AD ?
