Purpose
This note is intended to provide a sample of how a custom external forgot password flow using One-Time Password (OTP) might be implemented in Oracle Access Manager 12c PS3 (OAM 12.2.1.3).
Scope
This note is intended for Administrators of Oracle Access Manager who are familiar with the general configuration of OAM, protecting resources, configuring user stores, and performing other common administrative duties.
As a prerequisite this document assumes that the Default Forgot Password functionality has been enabled as outlined in Note 2465058.1, as well as the prerequisite actions required for that note.
The sample Perl script included as an attachment to this note is provided as-is, with no warranty enforced or implied. The script was not designed with performance or security in mind, and is only intended to provide a simple example of available functionality. The script has been tested with OHS 12.2.1.3.0 on Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) 7.3. It is a fairly generic script, so the expectation is that it would work on other operating system platforms/versions/webservers.
