Symptoms

On Java version 8u181 a database driver could not establish a secure connection to SQL Server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), failing with the following error below. The problem did not occur in Java version 8u151. Note that PoolableConnectionFactory is an Apache Commons routine.
