(Doc ID 2484365.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 10, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 12.2.1.3.181015 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Using Webcenter Portal (WCP) 12.2.1.3.181015.
Elasticsearch does not incrementally crawl new documents by anything lower than 1 hour.
Users are uploading new documents either through WCP or WebCenter Content (WCC).
When searching in WCC for the documents, it returns the results almost instantaneously.
When using Elasticsearch (ES), it only crawls every hour on the hour so it can be an hour or more before the documents are part of the search results.
Allowing a more granular scheduling of the ES crawl will allow documents uploaded to be searchable quicker and stop some users from re-uploading documents again as they think their upload failed.
