How To Set Tcp-initiator Connect-timeout In The 12.2.1.x.x Versions? (Doc ID 2485083.1)

Goal

User has reported that after the upgrade proxy extend client config file is not compatible with 3.7.1.x versions. The connect-timeout in 3.7.x.x was under the "tcp-initiator", but in 12c versions that configuration is failing. In case, there is a change in the schema, there is no way to have a single client cache-config file that has the connect-timeout that would work with both client versions.
