Symptoms
In older PSU versions of Exalogic Linux Physical 2.0.3.X racks and Solaris 2.0.4.X Physical racks, issue of newly created VNIC's in WAIT-IOA state is seen. In the problem case described in this Note the Infiniband Switch was replaced and there were no exabr backups for the Switch that was replaced. So the Infiniband Switch configuration was manually restored by following below steps.
- Set SM priorities on the replaced switch to recommended values same as the other Exalogic Infiniband switch.
- Enable the SM and propagate the partitions from other Exalogic Infiniband switch running the SM Master to newly replaced Infiniband switch by running below commands on other Exalogic Infiniband switch running the SM Master.
