Windows 10 Build 1803 Update - ESSO Needs Credentials After Login (Doc ID 2486440.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On: Logon Manager

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Users are prompted to authenticate by ESSO-LM after upgrading the workstation to Windows 10 1803 build. Windows v2 authenticator is installed with the Network Provider authentication module (ssonp.dll)

 
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Network Provider is installed with ESSO-LM and the users should not be prompted to authenticate after logging onto the desktop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Upgrade Windows 10 operating system to build 1803.
  2. Restart the workstation.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users are prompted to authenticate to ESSO-LM unexpectedly after logging onto the desktop.
