ORA-01017 Error is Thrown Intermittently When Using the ODI 12c SDK Even Though the Database Account is Unlocked and Working (Doc ID 2487658.1)

Symptoms

When using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c SDK to call jobs, an ORA-01017 Error is thrown intermittently even thought the account/user is correct, unlocked and working:

Caused by: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Failed to create initialPoolSize connections while starting a pool: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

  at oracle.ucp.jdbc.PoolDataSourceImpl.startPool(PoolDataSourceImpl.java:938)

Note the following values have been used to define the JDBC Connection pooling attributes:

new PoolingAttributes (10, Integer.MAX_VALUE, 4, 600, 100)
