Queries Regarding Jps-config.xml (Doc ID 2491015.1)

Last updated on MAY 12, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Platform Security for Java - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Separated the network between the development and the production server.

Restarted the server after that operation and could see error.

checked jps-config.xml after the error occurred.
However, jdbc.url and datasource.jndi.name were set as below.

PropertySet> props.db.1

jdbc.url has the development server IP set,
datasource.jndi.name (jdbc / opssPrefs) has the production server IP set.

The questions are

1. Must be set to the same production server?
2. If I replace jdbc.url with the production server IP during the current use, does it affect my system usage?
