Request Is Assigned To A Random User If The 2nd Line Manager Is Disabled (Doc ID 2493873.1)

Symptoms

In the manager approval chain, with an example as below:

User1 has a manager as Manager1
Manager1 has a manager as Manager2

The use case: User1 and Manager1 are active, Manager2 is disabled.

If one, not the immediate manager, has been disabled, when the SOA assigns the approval assignee, it runs into this error:

Using the Beneficiary Manager Approval workflow, and instead of assigning the request to the manager Manager1, it is assigned to some random user and status is alerted.

 

In OIM 11g with SOA 11.1.1.9 everything's working fine using the same scenario. The issue happens only in 12c.
