Symptoms
After an upgrade from 12.1.3.0.0 to 12.2.1.3.0, a composite is no longer successful polling XML messages via the AQ Adapter, due to the following error.
STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Upgrade to 12.1.3.0.0 to 12.2.1.3.0.
2. Activate the flow to poll the queue.
