Symptoms

 

Unable to Access the Discussions Server Admin Console After Upgrade to WebCenter Portal 12.2.1.3.
Attempting to login to the Discussion Server Admin page returns the following error:
 

ERROR

Admin access is denied. Please refer to admin guide to know how to enable admin access.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Connect to WebCenter Portal.

  2. Go to Administration -> Settings -> Tools and Services.

  3. Select Discussion Forum Settings.

  4. Click Administer Forums.
    Here you should see the error.


Or

  1. Access the Discussions Server Admin Console.
    e.g.:
    https://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/owc_discussions/admin
  2. After login you will see the error.
