Enterprise Capture Committed Output File Names Are Incorrect on Linux (Doc ID 2503280.1)

Last updated on JUNE 07, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Using WebCenter Enterprise Capture with cumulative patch 2 (Patch 28170319) on Linux.

When using an Import Processor script to assign an email date of format "DoW DD MMM YYYY HH:mm:ss TZ" to an alphanumeric format metadata field the document committed using that metadata field value, the Commit Processor output file is not named correctly. For example it is named as "EJDYRU~D".

The script used is documented in <Document 2490367.1> WEC Sample Code to Set the Document Profile and Received Date Based on the Attachment Filetype and Email Date.

When the script is removed from the Import Processor, the Commit file is named properly.

The same script on a job on a Windows system commits the file properly.

Incorporating the above script, viewing the Linux shared filesystem from a Windows system.
