Symptoms

WebLogic 12 c 12.2.1.3 error rendering JSF pages.

You are able to deploy the ear file in WebLogic 10.3.6, but since you migrated to WebLogic 12c 12.2.1.3, you are unable to render the first page of the Application which is a login page and get the following NPE error:
