Goal

This document provides detailed steps on how to verify SNMP Community string which is set and used on the Cisco Management Switch.

NOTE:

In some cases we may need to discover Cisco Management Switch from EMOC or update the Cisco Management switch credentials from EMOC for issues related to authentication or other issues. When discovering Cisco Management switch from EMOC we need to provide the SNMP community string details as well. Steps in this MOS Note will be helpful to get details on SNMP community string set on the Cisco switch if it is not known.
