Batches in Processing State in Batch List do not Automatically Refresh after Processing is Completed (Doc ID 2508118.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If a user releases a batch from the client to a post processing option (e.g. Recognition Processor or Document Conversion Processor), the batch changes to a Processing state (gear icon).  The user must refresh the batch list manually in order to see that the batch has completed processing and for the gear icon to change back to an unlocked state (grey check mark).  This is cumbersome for the user as they don't have the ability to see the current status.  Large batches may remain in processing state for many minutes in some cases.  They would like to see 2 different behavior changes:

  1. The user should not have to refresh the batch list to know if the batch has changed from a Processing state (gear icon) to an unlocked ready (Grey check mark).
  2. Large batches can remain processing for a long time when going through Recognition Processor.  Therefore it would be helpful to have some sort of status within the client that will let the user know how far along a specific batch is (maybe a status bar or tooltip that shows "reading barcodes on page 9 of 100" when hovering over the batch in the list).
