Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Forms 12c - subclass - inheritance not working

Upgraded Oracle Forms from 10g to 12c successfully without any issue. Facing issue with Subclass /Inherit.

One of the main form (form1.fmb) canvasses are subclassed from another form (form2.fmb). Before compiling form1.fmb, form2.fmb is opened in form builder. Compiled form1.fmb.
After successful compilation, launched form1.fmx. It displayed all control items (Text fields, buttons) but no field name/boiler plates displayed.

Changes

Upgraded Oracle Forms from 10g to 12c.
